About Val

I work with the very talented crew at DiscoverTCI.  Everyday, I get to surf the web and poke around with websites.  The one common thread, is that it’s all related to the Turks & Caicos Islands.  I also get to email, talk on the phone, and live chat with nice folks who want to come visit here - tough life eh!?! 

I was born in the Southern Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago to be exact, and moved at a young age to the cold white North for the next 21 years.  Nice to not have to put on long underpants anymore when getting ready to go to work.

I’ve been in the travel and web industry for over 10 years now, really settled.  This is it for me.  Love the discounts when I go to new places.  In my hours spent away from DiscoverTCI, I spend time with my beautiful wife and two sons.  They are both under seven right now, so it is still pretty manageable.  Pray for me in 10 years.

I also enjoy the water here, especially snorkeling, and try to exercise once in a while.  For the record, underscore the words ‘once in a while’.  I highly recommend avoiding it at all costs — too much work.  I am hopeful that blogging will get my heart rate up, so I can conveniently forget about the excercise thing.
